Vanessa Copeland
Vanessa has worked for notable organizations in Virginia and Ohio: the Virginia Department of Fire Programs, Virginia Commonwealth University, AvePoint, the Virginia State Corporation Commission, Radio One, and Cavalier Telephone & TV.
She is currently the Public Information Officer for the Virginia Department of Fire Programs (VDFP), whose mission is to provide the highest level of professional development for firefighters in the Commonwealth, and statewide risk reduction efforts. Her responsibilities include project management for executive leadership, managing public and media relations, marketing, and coordination of VDFP public awareness events in Virginia.
Vanessa also taught public relations as a professor at Virginia Commonwealth University. Before her move into public relations and teaching, Vanessa worked as a radio personality and voice over artist in Richmond, VA; Virginia Beach, VA; Cincinnati, OH; and, Charleston, SC. She also worked as a TV news producer for an ABC affiliate in Richmond.
